Students of GJAV participated in district sports event (year 2017-18) which is organized every year.
The practical approach is the best method to teach and learn new concepts. Gyan Jyoti Awasiya Vidyalaya always believes in this philosophy and look forward to the best teaching and learning pedagogy.
Students of class Xth visited a branch of India Infoline Finance Ltd. and Punjab National Bank to get an exposure of the working of Share market and banking sector respectively.
After the field visit, on 08-08-17 they gave a detailed presentation on topics (SEBI, IRDA, RBI, Sensex and Nifty etc…) related to banking and finance sector. The students were divided into groups and each group got their topic to prepare and present. They made power point presentation and presented in class. A panel of teachers evaluated their performance on various parameters like content knowledge, presentation skills, communication skills etc.
It was a wonderful learning experience for all of them.
Celebration of 71st Independence Day.
Students of GJAV celebrated 71st Independence Day with great enthusiasm and happiness. They presented various cultural program which were based on the theme of Nationality and Patriotism.
Students of the play group of GJAV celebrating Janmashtami. Students were dressed like Shri Krishna and Radha and they presented a small performance on this occasion.
20 girl students along with 3 faculties of GJAV went for a 1 night 2 days educational and recreational trip to Rajgir and Nalanda on 30th August.
On the first day, they visited Rajgir where they enjoyed the Ropeway, visited Sone Bhandar and Virayatan. In evening after taking bath in the famous and historical Brahmkund (which is hot water stream) they ended the day to get some rest and start the next day with more enthusiasm.
On second day, they started early morning and trekked to the famous and religious mountain which has famous temple of lord Mahavir. They took the blessing of God. After that they visited Kundlpur, the birthplace of Lord Mahavir. Then the next stop was the ruins of Nalanda University and Museum. After a lot of fun, enjoyment and learning they came back to the base.

To show the importance of plants in our lives, students of GJAV celebrated Raksha Bandhan in a unique way by tying Rakhi to all the plants in the campus. They also took a pledge to protect these plants and make our environment green.
